Pr.Lahouari BOUNOUA
Dr Bounoua is a NASA senior research scientist with a multi disciplinary expertise in Atmospheric, Climate and Biospheric sciences and modeling He obtained his Master 1990 and PhD 1992 in Atmospheric Sciences from the Florida State University Within the NASA’s plan for a climate centric architecture for Earth observations and applications from Space, Dr Bounoua’ s research is taking on the challenging issue of climate change implications for surface water, carbon, energy and human health through interactions with land cover and land use change Dr Bounoua’s research specifically includes climate vegetation interactions, urbanization and local climate, as well as environmental sustainability and human health risk associated with changes in surface climate Dr Bounoua has contributed more than 40 peer reviewed publications.
Le professeur Lahouari BOUNOUA est chercheur scientifique principal à la NASA et expert multidisciplinaire avec des compétences couvrant les domaines de la modélisation, des sciences atmosphériques, climatiques et biosphériques.
Il a obtenu son doctorat (1992) en sciences atmosphériques de la Florida State University. Au sein de la NASA, les recherches de Dr Bounoua s’articulent autour des problématiques complexes relatives aux impacts du changement climatique sur les eaux de surface, la santé humaine et la biosphère, en examinant les interactions avec les émissions de GES et les modifications au niveau de l’utilisation du sol. En ce sens, les recherches de Dr Bounoua portent spécifiquement sur les interactions climat-végétation et urbanisation-climat urbain.
Dr Bounoua a rédigé plus de 40 publications évaluées par des pairs.
